French designer conceives Peace of Time to give students some peace of mind

We all know that pressure of study and exam can take its toll on students. Schools and universities all around the world are coming up with new ideas everyday to cut down on this pressure and give students a relaxing atmosphere in the institution. One such idea is the Peace of Time area designed for Koomkin University in Seoul, South Korea. The place called the Peace of Time will be built solely with the purpose of giving the students a place to relax before and after their classes.

The main objective of the place is to cut down on pressure of studies the students faces everyday by giving them some moment of mental peace. A team that included renowned architects like Damien Carrette, Vincent Guillaume and Vianney Griffon has conceived the place. The oval shaped place will be fitted with many hi-tech sensors. An interactive sculpture, which is inspired from traditional “taptoli”, will occupy the center of the place.

High-tech sensors that are capable of catching footstep’s energy will be located beneath the ground. As more students walk around the sculpture, it shines more to give an enchanting and relaxing atmosphere to the students. The idea is to give a feel of bonfire where people can gather around burning fire and spend a good time together. Therefore, it does not take a rocket scientist to figure out that the Peace of Time concept will be a big hit with the students.

The initiative to create such a place for the students on part of the Koomkin University is indeed, a noble one. With the Peace of Time area, the university will surely earn some brownie points as far as the students are concerned and it is a possibility that more universities around the world will follow this concept and take steps to give their students a relaxing atmosphere.
