Eco Factor: Sustainable house concept created from shipping containers.
The Two-by-Four is the answer to the rise in the cost of housing by Zigloo. The designers here have proposed a generous three bedroom house that will be made using shipping containers. With an open staircase, vaulted roof and 20’ of glazing, the interiors of the house are illuminated using natural light.
The master suite and bedroom on the upper floor have closets and access to balconies. The open living, dining and kitchen space has been provided on the main floor and can be expanded into the den with the help of a sliding wall. To further better the eco-credentials of the entire house, the designers plan to incorporate rainwater recycling systems, septic field pumps and on-site renewable energy generating systems.
