Troy gets new bio-diesel stations

john ray and sons stationTroy got a new retail bio-diesel fueling station. It is named ‘John Ray and Sons station.’ True, there is nothing new in it, what is new is the fuel, it provides. It aims to serve the environment by selling a fuel blend called B20. This fuel contains 20 percent renewable fuel.

The bio-diesel fuel provided by this station is a blend of petroleum and renewable fuel, which is made from vegetable oil, recycled cooking grease, or animal fats. This service if gradually installed world-wide, it would distinctly and easily reduce not only dependence on foreign oil, but also cut carbon dioxide and sulfur emissions steeply. It will also create potential new markets for the fuel generating-crops a profit for the farmers.

Thanks to the NYS Thruway Authority! It is committed to installing renewable fuel pumps at all travel plazas along the Thruway.
