Now this is a gadget I really want! I think most MP3 and MP4 players on the market are usually lacking in the batteries department and need a solar powered charger, especially when you’re out where there’s no easy access to one! Looks like PowerPlus had the exact same thought when they released the PowerPlus Toucan Solar Powered MP4 player. Fitted with a 2-inch TFT screen to watch MP4 movies, miniSD card slot, 4GB hard disk space and a USB and AC adapter for charging when light becomes scarce, this player will keep you happy for a long, long time.
Its lackluster looks and its high price (around $160-$180) give it some stiff competition from other players on the market. Perhaps if they give it a makeover, notch the price down a bit and perhaps a shoulder strap so that it gets maximum sunlight while your out, the Toucan could give every player in the market a run for it money. Hope to see more clean, green gadgets like this in future.
