The new and improved ‘zero’ sound wind turbines

2 LdIir 17014
The whistling sound of the wind turbines has always been a nuisance, but nothing could be done about it because making them rotate at a slower speed would only generate less electricity, making them completely useless. A bunch of researchers from IWU have come up with a way to counter this solution with the ‘Damping System’ developed by them. Funded by Deutsche Bundesstiftung Umwelt, these systems are designed to retort to any change in frequency and damp the noise regardless of the high speed of wind generator. The primary component is the piezo actuator which converts electric current into mechanical motion and generates an anti-noise that fights the vibrations of the wind turbine by canceling them out and getting adjusted to the respective noise frequency.

Thanks to the advanced research at IWU, wind turbines set up near residential areas will no longer be a problem. The only real drawback was the humming sound produced by the wind turbines, and now that there is an active damping system that will cancel out the noise by producing counter-vibrations, the problem has become history! Since the model is properly developed, further plans include field trials.
