Eco Factor: EV charging station charges vehicles within 15 minutes
Agreed that electric cars are the way to preserve the environment, but waiting for eight hours to get them fully charged is one hell of a task. Reducing your agony to quite an extent is EV charging system specialist Epyon. The fast charging solution provider is unveiling its new fast charging station called the “TERRA” in the Netherlands, where Nissan’s LEAF electric car is being promoted this week.
Epyon claims that its latest charging station is capable of charging some vehicles in just 15 minutes. All the TERRA stations are remotely maintained via Epyon’s web-based Power-Routing network, which computes the local power grid, billing, and battery life management.
Meeting terms with the standards set by CHAdeMO, a set of companies that are on their way to establish a standardized system of electric vehicle charging stations, each TERRA station can easily juice up a number of vehicles simultaneously. The fast charging station can charge Nissan’s LEAF electric car up to 80% in just 30 minute.
