The Taipei Dental Association (TDA) has discovered this. So, not just sparing the environment from solid, non-biodegradable pollution — 225 dental clinics in Taiwan participated in the program to recycle waste crowns this year – but the program also leads to extracting values from waste.
More than 40kg of used crowns can yield more than NT$1.1 million (US$33,000) worth of precious metals! All the proceeds from the program will go toward a noble cause — the TDA’s charity projects.
