Eco Factor: Rechargeable battery made from regular sheets of paper.
Researchers at Stanford University have fabricated paper-thin flexible batteries that can be used as a portable source of power for flexible displays and even roll-able cellphones. The batteries have been made by coating a regular sheet of paper with a thin film of carbon nanotubes and then a thin layer of lithium compound.
These thin flexible batteries can outperform other super-thin power sources and the prototype batteries are being claimed to handle at least 300 recharge cycles.
