Eco Factor: Zero-emission car gets powered by electric batteries.

Genovation Cars has replaced the conventional engine of a Corvette ZR1 with electric batteries and motors to create a zero-emission vehicle they call the G-Vette. In addition to the engine change, the designers have also developed custom body panels made from carbon fiber and soy-based resin to reduce the weight of their eco-friendly vehicle.

The one-of-a-kind vehicle will serve as a test bed for Genovation’s research into advanced lightweight materials for fuel-efficient cars. The electric car is expected to deliver about 600hp and 600 pound-feet of torque with an ambitious range of about 200 miles.
