It is often a misconception held by many that only the major brands offer the best possible products and those that do not engage in vigorous advertising are just not good enough. That is a mistake made by plenty of people and it is hard to fault them too. In the modern world it is the packaging and the shouting that matter more than the product itself and people are fooled to sometimes believe that a brand is everything. While the Spin Dryer may not be a big name all on its own, it could really change the planet with its amazing eco-features.
The conventional tumble dryer is one of most power-hungry appliances in the home, and accounts for approximately 6-10 percent of household energy. Tumble dryers use approximately 5,000 watts and often run for close to an hour per cycle. The spin dryer, on the other hand, only uses 300 watts maximum and has a rapid 2-3 minute cycle. The Spin Dryer has 3200 revolutions per minute spin cycle. As a result, it extracts significantly more water from the clothes than a washing machine spin cycle does. It does not have a heating element, so it does not get the clothes 100% dry.
You put the clothes in the top of the machine, and within about 2-3 minutes the clothes are nearly dry. It removes about as much water from the clothes in only 2-3 minutes as a tumble dryer would in 30-35 minutes, which results in dramatic energy savings. This kind of a gadget is not just going to cut down on your power bills enormously (Which is a positive we can never ignore) but it is also going to make sure that an already sick planet heals and heals rapidly. Eco-gadgets like these go a long way in creating a future where power-saving and maximizing available resources will be a must.
