Not the one that we see in our normal course, but a solar powered, solar controlled, autonomous musical instrument. As an autonomous instrument, the xylophone will play music whenever the sun is available and will play a virtually unpredictable string of notes, giving it a complete life of its own. It works using the sun’s energy and the more light it sees, the more power it delivers.
How it works? A regular Xylophone fits inside the solar powered player box that holds a mallet over each of its 8 chime tubes. Each mallet is powered by a system that includes a solar cell, a simple solar-engine circuit, and a small motor. The system work in parallel; the brighter the sunshine on each panel, the more frequently its corresponding tube will be struck.
