Hats off to the innovative Bathurst man, Bob Triming. He has brilliantly used solar energy to power his wheelchair. His electric wheelchair now uses solar power, increasing his mobility and improving the wheelchair’s safety.
To deliver the 24 Volts required by his wheelchair, a pair of 20 Watt panels in series has been installed in it. Giving an extra 30 minutes of full power every sunny day, the solar panels function as an umbrella when it rains.
Besides, Bob has also added some side and rear LED lights to his wheelchair.
