Eco Factor: Electric 2011 Opel Meriva undergoes testing in Austrian Alps.
Developed under a project by Opel, Bosch and Mercedes Benz, the 2011 Opel Meriva was caught by a couple of car enthusiasts undergoing testing in the tough Austrian Alps. Initially planned under a project called Meregio, the car was apparently being tested for the amount of energy it required for driving up the mountains and how much of it was being regenerated on the way down. The sneaky camera work also cleared a lot on car design, which resembles the normal Opel Mervia except for the lack of exhaust pipes coming out from behind.
