Sir Branson Suggests Ethanol Fuel For Airplanes

Sir Richard Branson of Virgin Group has always been known for his environment friendly ways. Not satisfied with a successful life and a record company he wants to share his eco-friendly views all over the world. The renowned man is currently undertaking a $400m project in factories to produce environmentally friendly ethanol fuel in US. The fuel is to be produced from plant-based material – such as rape or coppice – specially grown for the purpose.

He is also currently asking permission from the government and air regulators to allow him to use ethanol for his Virgin Atlantic aircraft. It is believed that up to 5 per cent of jet fuel can be made from ethanol and if he succeeds it will reduce a lot of criticism airliners get for burning fuel and polluting the environment. Once this project completes Sir Richard Branson will prove once again that he is someone the world can learn from.
