How do you start? DIY Kyoto recently launched a device called Wattson which shows for users the amount of energy used at home by the glow of a light and by numbers depicted in wattage or in terms of costs so that all users will get an idea of how much energy each and every home appliances consume.
The device is wireless so you can take it anywhere inside the house and get the right picture of how much energy you have wasted and could have saved. It stores all the energy history which you can study as you download onto the computer . Best of all, all Watsson users can have an online energy reducing sessions with other Wattson users and their their first step on the Kyoto path.
