Usually the traditional combo of ‘Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Blue’ is reserved for the blushing brides on their wedding day. But since ‘refuse, reuse, recycle’ has pretty much become the fashion fad of the day, you can certainly bet on seeing more stuff like this men’s suit made from recycled PET bottles hitting your local stores. Created by Bagir, the world’s first venture into the field of hardcore upcycling (well, sorta!) is called Dad the EcoGIR for some strange reason, and is constructed with wool and recycled PET bottles.
Of course that’s not nearly as disgusting as wearing something made from recycled plastic from kiddie potties and when you get to know that the suit you’re wearing helped you save 77 percent of the carbon emissions that go into suit production, you really don’t mind having your old retired father walking around in a $200 suit made from old plastic bottles on Father’s Day this year!
