Eco Factor: Eco-friendly car concept powered by energy drawn from the road using inductive power transfer.
Industrial designer Scott Gilbert enters the world of futuristic cars with his pioneering concept, the “O-Lec,” shot for online electric car. Developed for the year 2030, this innovative concept is a brilliant combination of ingenuity and good looks. Rather than using fuel cells or power cord to power the car, the British designer used a power source no one would have ever imagined.
The O-Lec is a two seater that would take power directly from the surface it is moving on. The vehicle drawing energy from the road using inductive power transfer could prove to be a great alternative to fuel powered or even battery powered car. Since passengers sit one behind the other, the O-Lec would make a good public mode of transport in urban centers for short-range driving.
