It is wonderful to see so many modern designers taking an interest in electric vehicle design. Even if most of these are concept creations, they still offer you a roadmap for a future that could be filled with emission-free roads across the globe. The ‘Saddle’ designed by Attila Tari is a concept electric-vehicle that not only is inspired by nature, but is meant to get closer to the wild and untamed side of the planet.
There are many out there who constantly complain that too many electric vehicle designs are aimed at urban commuting and not enough encourage a trip into the rough terrain filled with boulders and dirt tracks. There is a good reason for that too. Not many designers feel that electric engines can take that kind of a work out. But Saddle can, with its stable design, powerful electric engines, wheels suited for the tough terrain and a ride filled with oomph.
The key to its versatility is the stable design of the Saddle that Attila drew from riding the horses. The vehicle is designed to be stable with the seat just like the one on a horse- adjusted to be more comfortable and healthy. The all-electric engine allows you to roam freely without causing pollution while exploring nature’s more secluded spots.
With an ability to charge using both domestic current and high-voltage power, the Saddle can juice up in an instant. We would love to see the design extended in fashion so as to not depend on grid power completely. Hopefully Attila Tari will see that as the next step in evolution of this delightful electric roadie.
