Very often we take a lot of things for granted as long as they are available without any hindrance. Just because we can pay the bills does not mean that we have to waste as much water or electricity as we often do. It seems somehow that leaving the tap running or switching that lamp on even when it is not necessary; are two of the most common modes of wasting natural resources. While water & power might be available in your household in abundance for now, that does not guarantee anything for the future.
While a lot of us might want to save the consumption of electricity at our own homes, we often are left clueless as to what is the amount of consumption till the time to pay the bills arrives. While we all might have someway of finding out how much electricity is consumed, we either neglect it or are most often too busy to care.
Designer Delroy Dennisur & his team have designed a device named ‘Power Conscience’ to deal with this problem in not only a practical but also artistic way. They have designed a panel which controls the power consumption of the house as per pre-set requirements & also informs us at every point about the amount of power being consumed. The power consumption is displayed in a bright LED form which contains the shape of a beautiful multi-color flower. The more is the brightness of the flower; more is the consumption of power.
While the device is unique & offers a bright little accessory for your household, I still don’t understand why some people find it so difficult to just keep things simple by switching off stuff when not required. It surely is still the best solution.
