PowerHouse presents green solutions for those in need of a prefab

powerhouse1

Prefabs are the next thing in house building which is gaining momentum at a good rate. The only thought of getting your house custom made and just dropping it wherever you need looks quite interesting. The technique is better and more desirable if it’s green. Showing the greener way is PowerHouse, which has developed prefab houses dubbed The PowerPod (I don’t think there is an Apple connection there!).

The PowerPods are made from green materials, solar power and radiant floors. To get easily under the bridge, the company has adopted a unique butterfly popup roof design. The company has also done well in not making the houses complex and difficult to assemble. The materials used are sustainably sourced. PowerPods also come with solar panels, rainwater collection systems, SIP walls, not to mention radiant floors, which might be useful in case you are opting to build on pliers rather than basement. Pliers though expensive are more landscape friendly and need less site work.

The houses have no mentioned price tag. I believe that the cost might just depend on the size and options you want to go with.
