Eco Factor: Bridge designed to harness solar energy for supporting utilities over it.

A 1080-meter bridge over the Han River, which is named after the Korean video and media artist Nam June Paik, will soon connect the Dang-Li power plant with the National Assembly building in Seoul, Korea. Seoul-based architectural firm Planning Korea plans to adorn the mega-structure, dubbed as Paik Nam June Media Bridge, with numerous solar panels so that it could generate renewable energy for supporting a number of public facilities such as a museum, library and an IT complex mall over it.

River water, collected rainwater, natural sunlight and ventilation will sustain a horizontal garden on each floor of the structure. The proposed bridge is also supposed to have room for walkers and bikers. Moreover, a series of structures lying parallel to the water surface will serve as docks for water taxis, yachts and cruise ships.
