Eco Factor: Mini Park simulates nature in dense urban environment.

Parc Disponible by Stefan Gyzl is a project that aims at balancing the proportion of built to natural experience for an ordinary individual living in a crowded urban environment. Selected as one of the finalists for an international competition held in Paris recently, the project visualizes a glass box enclosing a mini-park for individual use within the city.

Stefan envisages a network of mini parks located across the city which would provide both leisure and an opportunity to experience nature. The 15-square-meter eco-system would be thickly planted to simulate nature and obscure all outside view to provide a self-sufficient environment surrounded by dry land. The park would feature a rainwater collection system for irrigation, while filtering the rest to be supplied to the city. It would also be equipped with a system of louvers to control temperatures, thereby creating a microclimate that guarantees green space throughout the year.
