Amidst growing concens for global warming and soaring fuel prices, electric bikes and scooters can be called as ‘essential vehicles’. However, they have two major shortcomings – low speed and limited range.
Keeping these deficiencies into concern, the Optibike is designed. It has a range of 25 to 30 miles (40 to 48 km), with smarter microprocessor-controlled electronics and Shimano XT 7 speed Derailleur gears. With these gears, the rider can assist the motor with all speeds.
The Optibike runs at 20 mph (32 km/h) solely on the battery. It can be driven peddling gently at 25 mph (40km/h), and with some when pedaled aggressively, it can move with the traffic at 35+ mph (60 km/h). It is not only fuel-efficient but also easy on the environment.
