Opel reveals new ‘One Euro Car’ concept, will debut at Frankfurt

A stylishly designed minuscule electric car is waiting to beat the roads. General Motors’ European arm, Opel, would formally debut a two seat electric car at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show next week. This unnamed electric car is a unique electric urban concept which would magnetize people towards it. This awesome green ride, referred to as a “One Euro Car” by the company, can cover 100km for just one euro.

Opel’s two seater urban vehicle has a range of 60 miles and can hit a top speed of 75mph. It is a pure battery-powered electric vehicle with zero emission attributes which makes it beneficial for the environment. It is a very lightweight car as it weighs one-third of a conventional compact car. The cost of this design edged car would be reasonable and affordable. The success of the Ampera, motivated the innovative concept and a new class electric vehicle with lighter weight and affordability was born.

This stylish car would catch the attention of the young drivers for its affordability and productivity. The vehicle would also be made available for sixteen year-old drivers, who can start driving in a restricted maximum speed of 45kph. According to the company, the energy efficient vehicle would use ten times lesser energy than other small cars which adds to its eco friendly credentials.
