All the members of the Los Angeles green brigade, and even the other LA citizens might be just lining up to eat some nice healthy green food, made and even transported the green way. The Los Angeles duo of Kam Miceli and Mitchell Collier have taken a couple of Mercedes Benz trucks and given it the green treatment, and this truck goes around downtown LA, serving up nice healthy lunches for the downtown LA crowd.
First off all, the trucks themselves run on a frugal mix of vegetable oil that powers their diesel engines and the best part is, this veggie oil is not made by importing some Sub Saharan African country’s food crop leaving the people there starving, rather it is the very cooking oil that you and me use everyday.
The kitchens too are powered by the array of solar panels that line the trucks’ roof and for conjuring up that healthy meal, the duo use organic and locally available material, thus indirectly reducing carbon emissions and ofcourse eliminating harmful fertilizers and pesticides.
