Nissan’s all-new 2007 Altima Hybrid is set to be sold in Canada by April next year. This eco-friendly model‘s first entry into the hybrid gasoline/electric vehicle segment will be arriving in dealerships North of the border. The base price will be under $35,000, though the final details are to be released in January.
The fuel economy of the eco-friendly car is enhanced with a reduction in its emissions. Offering all the style, convenience, comfort, quality feel and performance technology, the next-generation Altima Hybrid is classified as an Advanced Technology-Partial Zero Emissions Vehicle (AT-PZEV).
An electric motor and generator assists its 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine and electronic Continuously Variable Transmission (eCVT) producing 198 horsepower. As estimated by Nissan, the car’s fuel economy is at 5.6L/100km in the city and 5.9L/100km on the highway.
