Nissan’s new device allows Leaf EV to power house for two days

Leaf EV

Nissan Leaf is a brilliant plug-in electric car that is presently taking the American and Japanese markets by storm. The need to rely less on fossil fuels and use green and clean electricity is something that the automotive industry is working upon and Nissan has achieved that with the Leaf. Now Nissan has created a new mechanism called the power sharing system, which will enable the car to provide electricity to serve the needs of a house for two continuous days.

This amazing power sharing device was exhibited at a house located near the Nissan Global Headquarters in Yokohama and has been designed by Sekisui House Ltd. Through this system, the user is initially supposed to link their electric vehicle to the charging station and when the Leaf has reached full charging capacity, then it becomes capable of transferring electricity of upto 6KW to the house. This system has been given accreditation by the CHAdeMO Association (Japan) for meeting the standards required for quick chargers.

This mechanism is a great invention that will help in saving electricity per house as the EV will provide electricity during the day and would recharge at night. Te device also comprises of a display panel that shows the essential information regarding the current, voltage, and battery power, thus making it easy for the owners to change the course of electricity from the vehicle to the house and vice-versa. Overall, this is a commendable achievement by Nissan to save electricity and make automobiles eco-friendly transportation.
