Eco Factor: Building includes sustainable measures.
A collaborative team has won a design competition for designing a new science and educational building for the Copenhagen University. To be built in the University Park as part of North Campus, Copenhagen the project fulfills the demands of future education and research. Niels Bohr Science Park has been envisaged as a rational and flexible structure with beautiful long balcony pathways and green courtyards.
It would be completed in two stages; Stage1covering approx. 30,000 sq m in the University Park to the east of Jagtvej, while Stage 2 would be built to the west of Jagtvej and cover approx. 15,000 sq m.
The buildings will house computer science, the house math, chemical and physical disciplines, including the Niels Bohr Institute and would be connected through a skywalk, on either side of a busy road cutting through the northern part of Copenhagen. The project is expected to get ready by 2014-15.
