Great news for automakers! You can now boost the car engines using smaller, more efficient compressors. Eaton Corporation’s newest generation of Roots-type supercharger is designed to do just that!
Called Twin Vortices Series (TVS), the new design features four-lobe rotors and high-flow inlet and outlet ports for enhancing thermal efficiency dramatically. Unlike previous Eaton Roots-type designs – that featured only three-lobe rotor assemblies – the new supercharger enables greater volumetric capacity at higher revolutions per minute (RPM).
According to Eaton, the new TVS supercharger design is scalable and adaptable to virtually all engine designs.
