Green is the hot color this wedding season as environment lovers take the green wedding route. Outdoor weddings, recycled paper for invitations and place cards, potted plants rather than cut flowers, organic food for menu, locally grown fruits and flowers, candles instead of expensive lighting are all a part of the green wedding.

So, when Kristy Wang and Nik Kaestner of San Fransico, decided to go in for the big day, the bride chose a gown that could be worn again to parties, the groom organized guest car pools in hybrid vehicles, and the couple picked an outdoor Japanese garden over a big, energy-sucking reception hall.

Locally grown, organic food were on the menu and so were homemade tablecloths that were later turned into dinner napkins. The venue was chosen so that it was close to the guests and they did not have burn fuel traveling miles.
