New, safer way to detect uranium minerals from remote location!

With nuclear power booming as an energy source and the threats of poisonous bombs increasing, Queensland University of Technology scientists have discovered a new way to help detect radioactive contamination in the ground safely.

The new way helps identify uranium deposits been leached into the soil and water from a remote location. Hats off to Professor Ray Frost, from QUT’s School of Chemical and Physical Sciences for this amazingly health-and-environment friendly discovery!

Professor Ray Frost said,

The ability to be able to easily and readily detect uranium minerals, especially secondary minerals, is of great importance especially in today’s current climate of terrorism and increased uranium mining.
