Organizations or for that matter any one who is interested in keeping a tab on its employees/ people in general can now do so very easily courtesy of NEC, which is set to debut a new security cam that draws all its power from a standard fluorescent light.

That’s not all, the camera is also equipped with some built-in 802.11b WiFi capabilities to stream all that video (that is, an image every ten seconds) back to a PC, which can presumably be used to monitor dozens of these little all-seeing wonders. This device I am sure will help to check shoplifting in department stores and shopping complexes.

NEC has kept mum as far as price is concerned, but I guess they are waiting for the iExpo2007 conference in Tokyo from December 5-7th, to give away all the details.
