Looking as appealing as the new one is the sleek recycled bike developed by Argentine designers Natan Burta and Alejandro Sanguinetti. Dubbed the “Monochrome”, this stunning bike takes the high quality of old bikes to get a completely new identity. Bike are no doubt green, but recycling them makes them even greener as one doesn’t require more energy and raw materials for a new product.
The Monochrome Recycled Bikes’ green transformation process involves painting with water-based inks, new stainless steel handles installation and stitching of leather seat by hand. All these processes require only 20% of the energy needed to produce a new bike. Besides offering you a green ride and healthy lifestyle, the eco-friendly bikes even diverts countless bike from entering the landfills.
