I’ve heard of mobile restaurants, mobile hospitals, mobile vendors but mobile pubs? I haven’t heard of something like that until now. It’s innovative not only because it is mobile but its mobility is propelled by 10 customers, with chained pedals at their feet, while they enjoy their beer. All it takes is a “slip” (into the pedal) between the cup and the lip. This is perhaps the only safe drink and drive I’ve heard of. This “Booze cruise” as it is termed by ecotality was introduced in London by 35-year-old Luke Robertson. he comments, “the funniest reactions are from people on the street who’ve had too much to drink. They think they’re hallucinating. It’s quite a surreal sight. One guy we passed on the King’s Road stood there dumbfounded for about five minutes.” It does not need a license because customers are not sold any alcohol while they are on board. The drinks are bought at standard pub and the mobile crawler is hired for a cruise into the city giving a very different drinking experience. The over all cost may range some where between £450 and £1,500. Though green and innovative, I ain’t sure how many people would consider the cost affordable not to mention the traffic congestion it might cause. via : Goodcleantech
