Green plants as we know utilize carbon dioxide for photosynthesis and expel oxygen as a byproduct of the reaction. If not for this food-making process by green plants, the world would not have come to accommodate the animal kingdom itself and intense global warming would have destroyed the existing plants also. Such is the role of green plants.
Biotech Research, Inc. (BTR) and Green Star Products (GSPI) have entered into a project to deliberately make use of this feature of plants, algae to be more specific. The project involves constructing a 100-acre algae facility next to a bio-diesel plant. The carbon dioxide produced in the bio-diesel plant is fed into the algae facility which utilizes the carbon dioxide for photosynthesis.
On the other hand, the algae oil produced in the facility will be converted to bio-diesel in the bio-diesel conversion plant. GSPI takes the responsibility to construct the algae facility to be functional for 18 months and will thus earn a part of royalties earned in sales of the bio-diesel and protein-meal that is probably made out of the byproducts.
This plan is further expected to extend by extending the acres of algae facility construction. This project involving the algae facility and bio-diesel plant works mutually and I’m sure would help reduce the green house gases to a great extent if put into practice world wide.
