Eco factor: Vehicle goes eco-friendly with diesel hybrid engine
Mitsubishi just couldn’t give a boot to its most prized car with the tightening emissions regulations. Hence it decided to make 2013 more environmentally friendly by initiating research and development on the car’s next-gen model as a diesel hybrid monster. The diesel hybrid model based on clean diesel technology is expected to take advantage of diesel’s low torque and design competence for better fuel efficiency. Engineers at Mitsubishi hope to bring the Evo XI’s CO2 emissions below 200 grams per kilometer while pushing the vehicle to 60 miles per hour in less than five seconds using the along with an electric motor.
