Do you own an open boat? Then you must be knowing how it feels to live in a rainy climate. Here is an interesting and useful gadget for you — an automatic bilge pump called the Lansman. It is highly cost-effective and eco-friendly as well.
The pump needs no external power to run! It is powered entirely by the movements in the mooring caused not only by wind and waves, but also passing boats. As the boat pulls on its rope, the bellows in the pump get pressed together, pumping out some water into the sea.
This amazing bilge pump was invented by Ralf Larsson. Calculated to cost less than SEK 300 (about USD 41), the pump is made of PE-plastic with a stainless rinse and return spring.
