This really is unbelievable and I would not myself trust this entirely unless I actually see this work. Moreover, it seems unbelievable that anything can make up to 5 gallons of water each day by simple extracting it from the atmosphere that surrounds it. This obviously is some sort of condensing system and if it is, it is still hard to fathom how it produces so much water and that too using solar energy at times! The Klimatec Base 1 Air Water Machine can give you an astonishing five gallons of fresh H2O every 24 hours. It cleans the extracted water with an active carbon filter, runs it through an ultraviolet light chamber to kill bacteria, and then serves it up to you hot or chilled.
The machine apparently does not use truck loads of power and that is indeed a good thing, but if you want to use solar power to power it then you better be ready to get some damn good solar cells to see it working. It is not all that believable as I wonder if every part of the world has that amount of moisture hanging around. If the principle is what it seems to be then it will surely not work in dry and low-humidity areas.
There are still lots of questions about this, but if it indeed does work the way it is supposed to then it is a real amazing eco-gadget that would surely save plenty of lives and provide fresh water for those struggling to get some. The price and the working though will still need some clarification and convincing!
