With mobile technology evolving multifold by the day, I am beginning to get the feeling that a cellphone becomes obsolete within 24 hours of its purchase these days. Thankfully, certified tech freak and sometimes software engineer Jatinderjit Singh has found a novel way of reincorporating old, used and disowned cellphones back into our lives. By putting together a bunch of Legos, a few microchips, some motors and an old cellphone, Singh invented the TeMo aka the ‘Telerobotics over Mobile packet data services’, which is a fully functional robot that can do fun tricks you can never get your dog to learn.
The TeMo utilizes internet connectivity to give you a very long control range over its cool tank tracks and robotic arm and we are quite certain you can teach it to fetch beers and other munchies from the kitchen while you laze around on your couch! Check the video after the jump for a cool demo of the bot’s capabilities.
