Those who know Josh Hadar and his passion for creating bikes and trikes know it well how he develops his machines to attain sculptural heights. This time also, he has come up with a solar electric, 8.4 feet long three-wheeler that maxes out at an impressive 45 mph.
A 750-watt array of six roof-mounted solar panels powers the Mars Electric Motor that produces 4.8 kilowatts (6.4 horsepower) continuous and 15 kilowatts peak. The E-Trike counts on four 12-volt lead-acid batteries for an extraordinary range of up to 30 miles. The range could be doubled with the inclusion of a lithium nano-phosphate battery pack.
Furthermore, the carbon-steel frame rolls on a 20-inch front wheel with 26-inchers at the rear to offer the trike its wild look.
