Is Nano-Generation the ultimate solution to curb carbon emissions?

solar powered gadget 48

While the G8 summit has clearly figured out the burning need to take action to combat the emissions of greenhouse gases, no one is out with the best feasible way to do that till the date. I think, one man has a good solution to this problem. Clemes Betzel, president of G24 Innovations, feels strongly that the devices that generate their own power must be part of the solution.

The governments are coming forth with the ideas of large scale power generation and distribution projects to tackle the problem of climate change but Betzel believes that such things are not the sole solution. Now, such large scale products are the prime focus of the governments but are not properly attended.

The second solution is Micro-generation but the costs associated are too high. What comes next? Yes, it’s Nanogeneration – where devices generate their own power. Healthy examples include solar powered chargers and solar powered cellphones.

Nanogeneration refers to the ‘greening up’ of everyday products so that they are as near to self-sufficient in terms of energy consumption as is possible.

Well, if we take a far-fledged look at the idea, it seems to be a kind of winner. The growth of nanogeneration will eventually replace the least efficient form of energy storage, the battery and I Think that would have a significant effect in the long run to rein in the carbon emissions. Moreover, it could also turn out to be a great way of bringing in sustainable clean energy to the developing world. In nutshell,
nanogeneration, along with microgeneration, could prove to be the real power solution.
