Solar bikini
Special bikinis for sun bathing? One of Siggraph 2007’s innovation is the solsar powered bikinis for those who like sun bathing better than to be in the water. The hotter news is that, its got controllers for couples to play video games touching eachother – one controller placed on the bikini bra and the other on the boxer shorts. Each controller has six sensors mounted, some happened to be placed at more intimate spots than the others, each controlling various parts of the game. It has 1″x 4″ photovoltaic film strips sewn together, pumping out 5 volts of juice into a (of course) female USB connection.
Solar swimsuit
Triumph International, the German based world’s leading manufacturer of lingerie, displayed the much awaited solar swimsuit at “Triumph Fashion Cup” in Valencia, Spain. This is has been designed in collaboration with Conergy, a German company active in Photovoltaic technologies – the mind behind the solar cell technology involved in the design. But what is the advantage if you don’t even get to swim in water with this swimsuit on? Well, the Solar Swimsuit should generate enough power for your mobile phone or even iPod. Isn’t that good enough news for those who just like to bask under the sun, getting drowned in music?
Solar juice bags
Yet another good news for the beach lovers is the juice bag. This fabulous bag is all so spacious for you to carry your beach towel, change of clothes, sun-screen lotion, fluids etc. But that’s not all what it can do. It has small, thin, flexible solar panels fixed on the surface, which draws the solar energy and can well be used to charge your cell phone and iPods.
