The much talked about turning tower of India will soon become the greenest skyscraper in the country. The 60-story tower is being built up in Mumbai, the trade capital of India.

The developer of this monster yet beautiful tower is hoping to acquire a LEED gold rating for the project. Its odd looking structure was created by FXFOWLE architects. The tower is being built on a three-acre site which will also house the buildings requirements and other facilities.

The tower will feature chunks, each of which will be having its own unique use. These uses include space for retail, a park Hyatt hotel and serviced apartment and long-lease and duplex penthouse condominium apartments.

To keep the environment and the building green the tower will make use of systems such as solar shading, natural ventilation, rainwater harvesting and will make use of green materials for the construction.

This awesome looking tower will house restaurants, retail stores, a fitness club and a night club in its three-story podium. The Park Hyatt will also feature a Sky Lobby at floors 30-35 with the hotel residences beneath on floors 14-28. Floors 38-50 will feature long lease apartments and levels 52-59 will be home to duplex apartments with panoramic views. The tower is currently under construction phase and should be ready by 2010.
