Haryana — an Indian state government – in a bid to save power, solar water heating system has been installed at certain categories of buildings, as being made mandatory by the government.
The environment-friendly system will be mandatory for buildings having an area of more than 500 square yards falling within the urban estates’ municipal sectors – like industries, hospital, nursing homes, hotels, banquet halls, jail barracks, canteens, group housing societies including all residential buildings.
Deputy Chief Minister of the state Chander Mohan said that the solar water heating systems will be installed on all government buildings, schools in residential areas, colleges, hostels, technical institutes, tourism complexes and universities.
For meeting hot water requirement of industrial, domestic and commercial sectors using solar energy, the renewable energy will be implemented by the Haryana Renewable Energy Development Agency.
