Eco Factor: Generating electricity using air power.

After creating a DIY car that is powered by compressed air, Nanjundaiah K, a management student from a village near Bangalore, is aiming to power his village with air. The inventor created the city’s first air engine car and plans to use the technology to provide an uninterrupted power supply to his village.

Nanjundaiah created the air-powered engine using scrap materials. The 8hp engine converts compressed air into energy that propels the vehicle. The same technology is capable of producing electricity that can light up to 25 homes, if fitted with a dynamo. The setup is to be materialized in the next four months.
