Hyundai is all set to divert significant amount of attention to hybrids to outshine hybrid champion Toyota. According to Inside Line reports the company is ready to roll out Sonata hybrid by 2012. The dedicated hybrid with thoroughly green looks and powered by a lithium polymer battery, gives an average of 40 miles per gallon. While a plug-in version of the model is awaited in 2013, the company hopes to lead the US market in overall fuel efficiency.
