Southern Californian fire agencies are to go eco-friendly with hybrid vehicles. Mazda has contributed five sport utility vehicles to the San Bernardino County Fire Department Thursday. Southern Californian fire agencies are already donated with 30 such vehicles, even when the Mazda Tribute has not been released in the market yet!
To help minimize greenhouse gas emissions in the atmosphere, these fuel-efficient hybrids are powered by both gasoline and electricity. The fire department will use these vehicles mainly for nonemergency work, a press release from Mazda North America Operations says.
