Eco Factor: Streetlights powered by wind energy.

Korean company Hankuk Relay has showcased new wind lightings and a solar light tracer system at ENTECH 2010, which was held in Busan earlier this month. The Wind Lightings include a range of wind turbines that respond even to the lightest winds to generate renewable electricity.

With little sound pollution, the easy to install wind lightings are ideal for places such as parks and pathways. The solar light tracer system is a device that betters the power efficiency of solar panels by allowing the panel to spin along with sun’s movement. Unlike conventional fixed panels, the light tracer system allows solar cells to generate 1.5 times more energy. The light tracer can be applied to hybrid streetlamps and solar light streetlamps.
