Hama Zero develops solar-powered electric bike for green ride

Developed by Japanese company Hama Zero, the “Solar Bike Fujin” takes the green revolution to another level. This cool electric bike comes equipped with solar panel placed in a box at the back of the bike. The electricity generated by these on-board panel powers the bike.

Weighing just 42kgs, the Solar Bike Fujin is powered by a 940W/h lithium-ion battery and reaches a top speed of 72km/h. It also boasts an assisted travel range of 220km on a single charge. In case the sun is not out, you could also juice up the battery from a home power socket, and one charge would costs just about $0.02.
