Thanks to public pressure, as it will not only provide an alternative solution, but also help go eco-friendly.
12 of the 40 cities have lowered fees on permits to install solar panels on homes! The average cost of permitting solar panels in the region has fallen from $652 to $446, which is a drop of more than 31% since October.
Cupertino Mayor Richard Lowenthal said,
We want people to do solar; so we’re giving them a break… We were under some pressure. Our residents were reading the articles and asking us to reduce the fee.
